I am so obsessed about being live in LA during the 70's. In fact I was just a little kid by the time Gino Vanneli, Rupert Holmes, Ambrosia, Steely Dan, Sneaker, Pages, Airplay, Nielsen Pearson, Eric Taggs, PLAYER and many other great acts ruled the scene. Lucky for those who had experienced love and romance in the heyday of that breezy westcoast summer sound. I was born and live in Indonesia, a country in far Southeast Asia, where almost nobody knows about Player, despite Baby Come Back is still played in many nostalgic radio programmes. I felt so alone in this world of disgusting modern music-lack of harmony, lack of nice chord progression-til I discovered that MTV and all those stupid tasteless mainstream idiots in the modern music industry couldnt really kill my heroes, great to know that Player is still alive and kickin'. Pete last time I saw you was at a gig with Wayne Nelson and LRB about 10 years ago at Viejas Casino in Alpine. You guys were really good but I do miss the original members of LRB. | I didn't get my last message posted, so I will try again. I drove home the oter day and heard "Baby Come Back". I love that song, so I found this website. I knew Ronn was a member of Player as i have been watching B&B since episode 1. I say this in the kindest way, but he is a singer and band member far above being an actor. Not the strongest actor in daytime TV, but he does makes you either love or hate his character, Ridge. I hope some day Player gets to Raleigh, NC. I would love to see them perfrom. | |||

Greetings gentlemen, Going to say what alot of other Player fans are probably thinking. What we wouldn't give to have a "live" dvd release of Player in concert. We may never see the Midnight Special and Solid Gold performances released on DVD so here's your chance. Baby Come Back, Melanie, This Time I'm In it for Love, If Looks Could Kill, Prisoner of Your Love .... "live" would be a great start. Simply put, I have current DVD releases from these other great 70's acts, Alan Parsons, Poco, Ozark Mountain Daredevils and the new Firefall DVD to be released early next year. Hope Peter and Ron along with their new management give some thought to a project such as this. Great music and great memories .... keep it up gentlemen and the best of luck .... |

Thanks for all the great music, many of the songs are stuck in our heads. The new Swiffer commercial has brought the oldie " Baby Come Back" back once again and, well we walk around singing that song again 24 hours a day. Thanks again, you made the 70's, 80's and 90's awesome for music. |

Hi!! My name is Lars, live near the Baltic see outside Stockholm. I have been a Player fan for a very long time. A friend of mine borroved me his Peter Becket album 1991, and this weekend we went out sailing and catch the last beems of the summer sun in the Swedish (Skärgård), it s a see with lots of wild islands near Stockholm, we played Player and Peter Becket all night long, sitting on the boat loking at the star clear night sky, a perfect mix with your music, a very mighty feeling. Player, Peter becket, Shooting Star are bands that have a special feeling for strong songs that captivates me complete. My next projekt is to get my hands on the albums available,on CD, Player,Peter Becket, Ronn Moss. I hope you come to Sweden, otherwise i check the tourlist and by a ticket to the United States.
